Marry me, Veggiegirl?

'Evening sweet friends. I have to throw a huge thank you out to all of you who left your best wishes and prayers on my last post. Your constant support never seizes to amaze me! I also thoroughly enjoyed hearing all about your pet peeves. I vote we propose a no snoring/loudchewing/awful driver law to President Obama, anyone with me?

Today was a yummy one, so I shall get right down to the goods.. and what better place to start than breakfast, right?

I like to call this beaut Reese's cup oat bran (a spin off of my girlfriend's bowl)
The mix:
mi amor

Kashi Autumn Wheat cereal biscuits, PB2 and vanilla soy milk
I loved the way they got all soggy and mushy in the milk :)

then I received this array of blissfulness from my favorite veggie lover around!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH VEGGIEGIRL!
I've said it before and I'll said it again, this woman is the kindest most warmhearted human being I have ever known. Her generosity is astounding and it's no wonder she's one of, if not the most popular chick in blogworld. I love you to the moon and back, sweet VG... It's a blessing to know you :)! p.s. you're penmanship kind of makes me incredibly jealous.
**sidenote: if you haven't seen the last episode of VeggieGirl TV check it out now! But here's a fair warning, get ready to drool!*

Anyways, these little gems she sent me are Futters nut butters (try saying that 5 times fast) in hazelnut, almond, cashew, and brazilnut. I had to sample one of these pups STAT but first, let me show you how dang cute the little jars were:
is that not the cutest thing you've ever seen?

I just had to go for the cashew butter because I've been wanting to try that for years. Okay, more like months.. same diff.
very thick, no oil separation at all.. booyah!
not much to be said about this other than it really lived up to it's name. It tasted just like a ton of ground up cashews (which makes sense, because that's exactly what it is.. durrrr) Now I understand what all the hype is about raw nut butters, they're so pure tasting. I adore!

Not much else was done today other than a ton of reading, and helping my sister pack her life away. Major sadface.
She's moving tomorrow to an apartment abut 45 minutes away, so of course I'm not as devestated about her departure as I was about my other sister who moved half way across the country. Still, it's a lot to take in. I realized that I've had to say a lot of goodbyes this summer, two sisters and Ginge? I'm starting to think I stank or something. In all seriousness though, it has been a rough summer but you mind if I toot my own horn for a sec? you do? Welp, I'm going to anyways. Regardless of the sad goodbyes not once have I resorted to old, oh lets just call them "unhealthy" coping methods. I've remained strong and determined and haven't let any of these things slow me down. Great Success!

Alright I am off to relax and get some shuteye. It shall be an early morning tomorrow. Have a great weekend, all! Anything exciting going on in your neck of the woods?

It's tough to resist the urge to drift back into unhealthy coping mechanisms in the face of stress. I'm so glad you are in a good enough place to stay strong!

I agree that VG is one of the most kind, sweetest, most awesome people out there, in the blogosphere or just in the worldsphere. She's a doll. VG, since I know you're a comment maven and will always magically appear on every single comment box I ever frequent, I know you'll see this :) VG love ya!

Jenn-love ya too! I am glad you havent resorted to any past tricks. I think lots of us in the bloggie world can relate. I know I can and hats off to you mama :)

As for your Futters Cashew Buttah....I am soooo jealous. I really should just make cashew butter w/ the raw cash'es I have and my VitaLord but I am scared of blowing it's motor. I have heard horror stories and since I cant live without it, I just have to buy my nutt butts. But I really want cashew buttah. Oh I have butter envy, you better watch out :)

I know what it's like to be away from family. I am 2500 miles away from mine and 99% of the time that's a good thing, but yeah, it is hard. Hugs to you sweetie :)

Hooray for nut butters!!! I love raw nut butters... they have such a distint taste!

Aww, sorry to hear about another sister moving away. I know whenever my brothers leave after spending time at home it's so hard to say good-bye. It just feels like something is missing in the house. But we just have to realize that it is another part of life and something that we just have to work around... calling, texting, emailing, or whatever to keep in touch. Glad to hear that you handled it all so well hun!!! :)

Here are lots of pats on the back for staying strong. I've found that just being in blog world helps a lot as I always feel support and know I have someone to report to (as Reese's Big Cups were calling to me as I had to make an emergency stop in a 7-11). Way to go!
