a walk in the park.. [literally]

Good morning chicas, hope all is well wherever the heck ya are!

1st things 1st i gotta say I think it's hysterical how many of you commented saying you received sunbutter samples and have no idea where they came from. Perhaps the sunbutter gods are watching over blogville? Or perhaps we're all absent-minded fools.. your call.

my tuesday started off as most days do.. java, blogging, breakie.. what can i say? i'm a creature of habit. Ginge did add some excitement in to my day when he asked if i wanted to hit up the park for a little pic-naccc action before venturing to the mall. So, i packed myself up a dy-no-mite lunch apple and garlic & onion laughing cow (x's 2) on a sandwich thin, special k delicious multigrain crackers and carrots. Definitely a happy meal in my book... minus the toy, dang-flabbit!

after canoodling talking in the park ;) we realized that time had quickly escaped us. It was already about 4:00 and little Gingey had to be at his pals house by 5.. so unfortunately our trip to the mall wasn't as leisurely as i would have liked. We only had time to run in, hit up GNC for Ginge's imperative protein powder, and jet out of there.. Ah well, i suppose forever 21 will have o wait.

when i got home i was famished from all that [lack of] shopping and ready for a snack-attack.
rice pudding, diced apple, apple slices, mi-del whole wheat honey grahams.

after digesting i got my butt in gear and gave my new pilates body sculpt DVD a spin. I did the 30 minute full body workout and it was pretty good! She split the workout in to different segments targeting different body parts (abs, back, legs, glutes, arms) but because she worked so many different zones in such a small amount of time i didn't feel as though any part of my body got a GREAT workout. I think i'll try doing the 15 minute workouts that focus on one single area.. I'll letcha know how that goes for me.

I found a new veggie burger at the g-store the other day that sounded pretty legit, so in to my cart it went..
i hate to say it, but this burger was not as yummy as it looked.. though this may be attributed to my extreme lack of patience. I was stavin' marvin' so rather than use the suggested method of poppin' it in the oven i opted to stick 'er in the microwave and save myself the dreaded 8 extra minutes! *gasp!*

Fortunatly, i doused the burger in cheese, banana peppers and honey mustard so it wasn't a total bust.. and y'all know the whole wheat potato roll can salvage even the worst of burgers. The cheddar cheese popchips on the side certainly didn't kill the meal either. I LOVED THESE. they tasted like Cheeto's healthier twin sister...

good looks certainly don't run in that family... unless you're in to the whole spray tan thing.

so for today i have some business to attend to at the bank and post office then later on tonight i have a date with daddy to watch Revolutionary Road! I've loved Leo ever since his days as Jack Dawson .. Kate Winslet is the luckiest chick alive if ya ask me.

happy hump day ladies... enjoy!

p.s. nut butter giveaway alert!

Happy Humpday!

the protein count on that burger is pretty impressive- sorry it was a flop! Maybe try using in spaghetti sauce with pasta or something? I did that with my dud burgers and it came out great!

Hmmmm I'm thinking an LC/apple sandwich is in my near future ;)

Pie, try broiling the veggie burgs. Way shorter than cooking them in the oven and they still get crispilicious!

Awww, I'm surprised that burger wasn't good. It looks ding dang delicious! ;) But I guess that's just the illusion of presentation. At least you know you've mastered the presentation skill!!!

Hehe - do you know the danbury F21 is the last one I was in (December!)? There is a F21 literally 2 blocks from my office here in NYC, but I refuse! Believe it or not, shopping in the city is shite. I hate throwing elbows just to try on clothes, so I wait for the 'burbs to get my shop on. I'm overdue!

And you're right, potato bread can save ANYthing.

Aww, I love picnics, how fun! It's def too hot where I am to have a picnic for lunchie, though. Maybe at dusk when it gets a bit cooler.

Revolutionary Road was alright...but I'm kinda sick of the whole "suburbia sucks the life out of you" thing.

Picnics are always fun. I thought the graham cracker was a wasa crisp for a minute, both of which I am out of at the moment. My pantry is pretty sad looking right now. I need to do some serious shopping tomorrow!

Picnic in the park?! Sounds totally fun! Although some Forever 21 action would have topped the cake! ;-)
