Happy Birthday America!!
hello my precious American beauties (and my lovely gals who reside outside of the states, of course) happy independence day, America's birthday, 4th of July...which ever you prefer. Thank you all so much for sharing your holiday weekends planned with me - it sounds like most you have lots of fun to look forward to!
Fortunately mother natch was a real peach and decided to grace CT with sunny skies all around -- it's the perfect summer day.
being the social butterfly that she is, it seems as though my mom has promised each and every person she's ever met in her life that we will attend their bbq's at some point throughout the day.. so in a few minutes i'll be departing to begin my journey along the east coast making frequent stops to enjoy a lot of this...

My favorite part is family, friends, and barbeque food! I love baked beans. :-)

sounds great- have a fab time! This is the first time in 4 years that I've not been in the US so am kinda homesick... My favourite part is definitely hanging out with friends and having fun and celebrating :D

I love the fireworks (of course) and my family going to the (lame, but traditional) town parade. Bonding time!
bbq's and fireworks with the boy tie for my fav parts.
my dad is having a bbq and hen wants to get silly and light off fire works.haha my fam likes to party on holidays.

I have to say that I just love the fireworks and even the little sparklers and fun things you buy for at home. I have some great memories of playing around with those things with my brothers, dad, and cousins. Haha, my cousin Steph tried setting off a firework from a metal flag holder on the ground one time, and it ended up exploding before it even left the tube. She's also the one that tried biting into one of those "snaps" - the white things that you throw on the ground. Yup, she sure is entertaining! ;)
